Recently issued Government figures show that last year’s growing of things from the ground was exactly in line with what the Government had forecast.

A spokesperson added, “there isn’t really much to say about this but people can, and should, carry on going about their daily lives quite happily.”
Despite rumours of a spike in homegrown nightshade vegetables in the spring of last year, it is now clear that the vast majority of people are opting for supermarket versions of the same food.

One local allotment owner commented, “This can only be good for the economy, I’m no expert but back garden gardening is becoming a bit of a black market trade”.
