The much sought-after St Patrick’s Day number 1 spot has been awarded to newcomers Green Green Grass with their viral smash hit “Top O’ da morning” which after a slow build on social media has taken the country by storm.
Lead singer Saoirse, 23, had this to say “we can’t believe it!! We threw this song together last year when we were trying to reconnect with our Irish routes, it was just a bit of fun y’know, and now it’s on every radio station. We feel so lucky to be able to share this gift”.
However, some comments on social media have been less kind. Including one from Ronan (not Keating) who went with “What is this shite? This is absolute shite.”
