Squeezy Bread in a Bottle not bread says enraged artisanal bread baker

Squeezy Bread in a Bottle is sending shockwaves through the speciality and artisanal breads sector with bakers raging ‘once out you can’t get it back in the bottle.’

Can Squeezy Bread fill a hole in the bread market? ‘No; say campaigners

A spokesperson for Big Bread International, a division of Squeezy Foods Inc. which produced the patent pending squeezy bread, said: “Squeezy bread is a fully organic, mobile, and sustainable bread option that stays fresh longer. It has been fully tested in Ireland. The Irish love their bread and they love Squeezy Bread. In fact over there people are saying ‘I love that. It’s the best thing since sliced bread.”

But Nev Charles, acting president of the Give Us This Day our Daily Artisanal Bread campaign and 50% owner of ‘Crust ‘n Crostina!’ a Brighton based speciality artisan breads bakery which he shares in joint ownership with ex-partner Tina, said: “Big Bread may say this is the best thing since sliced bread but try getting an organic, granary seeded wholemeal sourdough loaf from a bottle. I don’t think so. They can bake the bake right off as we real bakers say. My membership is outraged. And no, Tina didn’t leave because she loved to love while I love to bake.”
