London won’t be finished until at least Easter next year and probably not then according to builders who should know.
Photos released today show just how much there is left to do. One builder who should know said: “Rome took longer than a day to build.”
“We were hoping to be out by Christmas but there’s been a number of snags. Several of the crew had a big one on Friday and no-one has seen Johno or Phil the Sparky since. His name’s not really Phil, he’s Polish,” said one builder who should definitely know.
According to another builder, who if he doesn’t know, no-one knows, said: “You can’t find a plasterer for love nor money and we could be here well into next year. It’s just one of those things”
